Here’s how you can download the archives using the Facebook web version –

Open your Facebook on the web.

Click on the downward arrow on your profile picture at the side of the page, as shown below.

Click on Settings and Privacy>Settings.

You will see an option for Your Facebook Information on the left side, as shown below.

On the page, you will find an option to Download Your Information.

You will be directed to a page where you will be asked to download your data in HTML or JSON and choose the resolution and the time frame for which you require your data.

Once done, scroll down and click on Request a Download.

Once you have downloaded your information, you can delete your Facebook account. Also, it is important to note once you delete your Facebook account, it cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Facebook Account?

Open Facebook on mobile.

Click on the hamburger icon on the top corner of the page.

Tap on Settings>Accounts Center.

You will be asked to click on your profile.

You will be given two options – Deactivate Account and Delete Account.

Choose Delete Account.

Before the final Facebook account deletion process, you will be given three options – Deactivate Account,

Download Info, and Transfer Info.

You can download the info if you haven’t done it yet.

Tap on continue.

Note: The account is not deleted instantly. You can restore your account within 30 days, or your Facebook account will be lost permanently. Any Facebook pages attached to your account will also be deleted.

The Facebook account deletion process on the web is the same as the mobile application.

Can You Cancel Your Facebook Account Deletion Request?

If you have changed your mind, you can cancel your account deletion within 30 days. You can log back into the account and click on Cancel Deletion. This way, you can restore your account.

Download and back up any photos or other information you want to save before deleting your account. To find the “download” option go to “General Account Settings”>”Download a copy of your data”. This will allow you to download a copy of your data directly from Facebook.

If you are not sure you should delete your account or not, You should deactivate your account instead.

Once you complete the account deletion process, your account is immediately deactivated. This means that your timeline immediately disappears from the site and other users are no longer able to search for you. However, your account isn’t permanently deleted for 30 days. During this time, if you log in to your account, you’ll have the option to restore it. After the 30 days have passed, your account is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by any means.
