Now, that our conversation is open, you can find and then hover over the message you want to delete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once you hover over the message, you can see a three dot [more] option apearing, click on the same option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will show you two options “Remove” and “Forward”. Click on the Remove button.<\/p>\n\n\n\nA dialogue box will appear with the options of “Unsend for everyone” and “Remove for you”. If you select the first option, it will delete messages on Facebook for both the sender and the receiver. And the second option will delete the message only for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\nChoose the applicable option and click on “Remove” button. The message will be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n
How to delete a whole conversation on the Facebook website.<\/h2>\n\n\n First few steps will remain the same, to open the conversation you want to delete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the conversation is open tap on the receiver’s name on the message box or select on the three dots when you hover on the receiver’s name on the Messenger Inbox window.<\/p>\n\n\n\nNow, you will see an option of “Delete conversation”. Select that option, to see a dialogue box appearing. Confirm by selecting the blue button named “Delete conversation”.<\/p>\n\n\n\nYou will see the whole conversation disapearring from your messenger Inbox. This will only delete messages on your Facebook account and not on the reciever’s account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Facebook has saved us from sending embarassing messages to our colleagues or friends by including this feature. So that we can delete the message before the person on the other side reads it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
